Hi! We’re Amy & Brad.

We need a vacation!

We married in 2005, started a family in 2007, renovated a house, moved again to be closer to family and bought a business in 2014, and not just any business, it’s been in Amy’s family since 1898. Juggling the pressures of our business and raising a family created a desire for weekend getaways whenever we could squeeze out a moment.

For the past fifteen years, we have taken weekends to drive around the winding mountain roads of Virginia and dream of ways where we can have a retreat of our own. We found the mountains a place to spark creativity, rejuvenate and connect.

December 2019, we started a small company by the name of STAYHAUS and purchased our first little getaway in Wintergreen, Virginia. STAYHAUS is simply a result of our desire to get away from it all. Here’s to like-minded mountain weekenders who also need a little space and time to create, relax, and start a new. This is for you.
